SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
May 14, 2002


PRESENT:  Theodore Bailey, Jeffrey Jordan, Heather Briggs

OLD BUSINESS:

The minutes of May 07, 2002 were approved as written, signed and will be posted to our web page.

NEW BUSINESS:

Subject: Reevaluation Meeting
HIGHLIGHTS:

Present:  David Hynes, CNHA from DRA, Robert Gagne, Real Estate Appraiser from DRA, and Andrea Lewy from Avitar.
The Reevaluation was discussed regarding what the contract stated, what the responsibilities were and the general procedure.  

DRA will be the “quality control” for the Town of Chichester.  They will be issuing reports to the Town of Chichester.  And they will be in from the ground level.

Avitar will be covering the maps by area and each home.  The maps will be checked as they go.  And Andrea Lewy stated that Avitar will be contacting the Selectmen’s Office and the Police Department with when they are going out to reval and what area they are going to be working in.  
 

Subject: Mr. Brandon Giuda
HIGHLIGHTS:

Brandon came in and dicussed his views on the Clifford Road area.  With his land abutting the property of Green Crow, he does agree that the owners of land should be able to do what is their right within the law.  

Subject: Jim Mullany
HIGHLIGHTS:

Also present: Mr. David Paveglio, Building Inspector

Jim Mullany prepared, read and presented his letter to the Board.  This letter was in reference to building permits, transferability, and the definition of completion of requirements to obtain the building permit.

Subject:  Paul Adams
HIGHLIGHTS:

Paul Adams presented information regarding the Clifford Road area.  He is interested in acquiring the area through the Conservation Committee.

The Board agreed to look into it and that the Conservation Committee be the first step of the process.


Subject:  Board Discussion:
HIGHLIGHTS:

The Board opened the bids for the 1998 cruiser.  Mr. Jerry D’amico Jr won with a bid of $3,781.00.  Mr. D’amico will be notified by Chief Clarke.

        Other bids included:

                2,950           Diane Lemire
                3,030.30        Christopher Gray
                3,200           Harry Guay  (original bid)
                3,500           Harry Guay (to replace first bid.)


Regarding upkeep of the Grange Building, the kitchenette door was fixed. The upstairs, outside railing needs to be painted and the door leading into the Selectmen’s Office and the Tax Collector’ Office, needs to be fixed.  Heather will look into it.  The upstairs bathroom needs to be completed, which Judy will be contacted for her decisions.
